The Magic of Christmas

Hello Everyone!

Tonight I went and saw a magician named Derek Hughes at the Rockland Center at Stevenson. First off all, he combines comedy with magic, and that was hilarious! Second, at the end of the show, he pulled a card literally out of his butt. Pretty much the most hilarious thing I have ever seen.

On another note, I'd like to discuss the magic of Christmas tonight.

Some people ask me: "Hey Emily, why do you like Christmas so much?" Of course, they expect "Because of the presents of course" but that's not my answer. My answer is simply the feel of the holidays. I just enjoy the mentality that most people (excluding the scrooges and grinches out there) have. Most everyone is courteous to one another, gives money to charity, and is generally happy. I just love the feel of the holidays. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it well, but those of you who have experienced it will know what I'm talking about.

The magic of Christmas envelops some more than others. I admit, there are some people out there that don't quite enjoy Christmas as much as some of us, but really, why not? If you are one of those people, let me know why in the comments? I really don't mean to sound like "WHY AREN'T YOU LIKE THE REST OF US?!" I genuinely want to know why you don't love the holidays because I have never really experienced anything BUT love for the holidays.

Believe me, I could talk about magic for hours, but being a college student now, I have some studying that I need to get done, and...I need sleep.

Thanks for reading!

Until next time,
Lasagna Claus

Remember: only 120 not-so-magical days until Christmas!!
